Took delivery of the new C-Class last week and had it fitted with a CAT 5 TRACKER ('Tracker Response') yesterday. I chose this particular system as it is MB approved and one of the best out there - and we seem to have new cars go missing in our area.

Car ran fine on route home, to the gym, out to eat and to a friend's. On getting into the car late last night, noticed that all of the lights for the electrics on the centre console were switched off and worse... was not operational.

The ambient lighting, the touchpad, the dial and COMAND display all work fine and I am able to access all controls using the touchpad/ dial but none of the buttons on the centre console seem to work. I have booked it in to have it looked at next week - earliest date I could get.

I am wondering if anyone else has experienced an issue like this and how quick it was to have resolved. Being the only car I have access to, can't afford to be without it for more than a few hours while I'm at work.

I suspect it's to do with the battery (as I remember experiencing something similar on an old company Vauxhall Vectra I used to have).

Cheers!
