I have no time for these scum and unfortunately neither do the police.

If I saw one ripping a cat out I'd be tempted to phone the police and mention it looks like they're waving a sawn off shotgun about. That usually gets done reaction....
Or tell them there is a Covid breach, they will come running! :D

There's no deterrent these days for any crime committed, you've only got to watch Police Camera Action or Police Interceptors to see what happens to the A Holes that commit car crime. You've got multiple police cars a helicopter ( costing about £2000.00 per hour ) damage to the car that the perps are in plus damage to parked cars etc. And what do they get most of the time. A community service order which they probably don't bother turning up for.
But one word of advice, don't let you Granny have a cup of tea with her communal neighbors. :eek:

Very true that. Beggars beleif. You watch those criminals (not sure of thats the right word as they mostly get let off) doing all their damage, risking life and then you hear the sentence (or lack of)

I know it sounds extreme this, but the only way to properly reduce crime is zero tolerance plus medieval torture to death, ensure it has the resources to enforce it and lets see how many continue to still do it.

Its got to a stage where there are not enough resources, the victims are helpless, the thieves know the scope of what they have to play with etc.

I promise, crime/criminals will only get worse and worse as the years roll by and ever less is done to deter or tackle the issues properly. The only sure way to avoid falling victim will be not to own things that thieves want;

Or one could say, the Peelian Principles should be brought into play properly. The police are the people, and the people are the police...

What we are seeing is the result of (a long period of) the people perceiving that the police are enforcing the law (US stylee) rather than upholding the public trust.

Simplest manifestation of this? When there is little visible difference between the appearance of a police officer and a soldier, except for the colour of the uniform. That then turns the perception of police in society from a force designed to protect the public from crime, to an occupying army.

Surprised me to see this going on but we had 3 store vans done at the same store last week out of the blue (or Orange if you can guess the retailer.....)
Apparently van cats are a little larger and worth more, plus easier to get under.
We're looking at physical deterrents including retaining clamps, spray dispensers (property and people) as CCTV is worthless
