OK, dumb(ish) question...
I want to fit a CD changer to the 190E.
Where's the best route to run cables from the dash through to the boot?
Do I have to remove the rear seats etc or is there a trick means of access underneath the seat/through the sills?
Where does the aerial and the rear light wiring run?

Any tips? I've done this before to hatchbacks, but the 190E's got a great big metal bulkhead behind the seats!

TIA,

Ben.

The only proper way to do it IS to remove the rear seats and the plastic at foot level down one side of the car ........if you choose the Passanger side(if you're in the uk) you'll find some nice handy built in cable clips already there waiting.... plus on this side there is already a hole in the rear bulkhead where the cars loom goes through...with plenty of room for your wires.................At least thats what I did...made the job very easy......Much less than an hour to run the wiring...

Have fun.

Great info, thanks.
I'm still awaiting my Haynes manual - (briefly) how do the rear seats come out? Mounting bolts behind the plastic trim panel at the front of the boot?

And do you find the Ecotek makes much of an mpg difference? I will fit one but I'd like to know what to expect.
