I've bought a W210 E-class diesel saloon, and the headunit has a cd changer option.

I don't know if the car has one - is there a standard place for them to be fitted that I can check?

If it doesn't have one, does the car (as standard) have a cable/connector ready and waiting, in a certain place?

The changer is in the boot,if you have one.normally left hand side. Normally pre wired. Models introduced after 1999 use fibre optics and one of the leads is bright orange.

I have a 10-stack CD changer in the boot on the same side as the driver when viewed from the rear. I guess that makes it offside/RHS.

The location of the changer is underneath the rear parcel shelf so it doesn't interfere with items being placed on the floor of the boot. Beware of putting tall objects in the boot though.
