CD Changer titles?

Guys

The E320CDi has the full Comand system with dash mounted CD changer. When using the changer, it identifies discs 1-6 but does not give them their titles like a lot of CD changers do-is it meant to ? (All it says is "Disc 1" etc which isnt much use !)

Not certain about command but my Audio 20 (with the same changer) doesn't either and there is nothing in the manuals. I believe its something the changer doesn't put out.

I know what you mean, I put the same mp3 cd into the landrover and i can select specific albums and tracks, but merc always seem to be a bit behind with these things (though to be fair the merc is 05 and the LR an 07). Earlier changers didn't even play MP3s. The 99 track limit is a pain too.

My W211 changer doesn't give track details, or didn't until I put an Offspring CD in and that one gives all the info. I don't know what is different about that CD but it has track listings where the others don't.

My comand system displays title tracks and album names, more so on ones i have made on the computer, a couple of the ones i have bought also comes up!

Even the track details dont bother me, but Album titles would be REALLY helpful as I can never remember which disc is which !!
