CD Player for new Eclass

Hi - Having a new E Class which is great, 3 weeks old - all I need now is something to play my CD's - I cannot find anything that will let me play them and its driving me nuts Has anybody managed to get something that works?

Put them on a card? Shouldn't take long to put 6 cds on a card.

Other half's Mini is the same - no CD/DVD slot anywhere. We just rip everything to USB stick. Its a pain having to do it but once done you never need touch the CDs again so they stay pristine.

Only sold 114 million CD's last year..

What I specifically wanted it for was to play audio books which I get from the library free - ripping to USB stick is fine but the play list shows all Track ones then all track 2's then all track 3's on all the disks - which is a bit of an issue if you are listening to a book - not an issue if you are listening to music - Yes I know you can then sort them out but I would have thought that there must be a simple cd player out there that would connect to the USB ports and just play. Oh by the way - I know I am old but...

The problem with a USB CD player is the car won't understand it as its looking for a USB stick which has a different command structure and file structure..

Not sure how Comand works but on my Alpine unit in my car if you arrange files into folders it plays each file in the folder sequentially. In your case arrange the books as folders, then copy all the files for that book into the folder. Should play correctly then.
