CDI 270 Engine Noise

Hi,

Started up my 54 (05) w203 cdi270 estate today and just after start (about 2 minutes) a strange groaning noise could be heard from the engine bay. The car was just idling and I didn't move it.

Any ideas what this could be? I haven't heard this noise before and wondered if it sounds serious?

It could be a number of things but I would look at the steering fluid reservoir and make sure it is at the correct level.
