Central locking gone mad!!!

Hello all, im new to this but im hoping someone can help me please!

Ill explain what the problem is; the central locking locks and then sometimes the lights flash so the car acknowledges that it going to lock but then the doors dont lock everything goes into the kind of lock mode. Any idea what the problem is ? Sometimes it locks and sometimes it doesn't but in this day and age we can't just keep our car doors left unlocked, the alarm goes on but still not 100% secure. Could someone please help me...

Hi Malcom,

they dont no when the car locks they go in a very slow motion kind of state.
But now they dont even budge so they stay up (if that makes sense)
but the lights flash on the car and the alarm sets in.. really confusing

This is a new one on me so the alarm sets but the locks have not operated,, lets hope that someone else knows of this fault

Check the door contacts esp the boot one, locking will not lock with a door open or thinking a doors open due to a switch fault.
