Hi,just wondered if anyone knew if the impellers from the vacuum pumps that operate the central locking are available to buy new, without having to buy the entire unit as they cost a fortune.I actually need to repair the one in my Audi A4,i have heard the impellers in the mercedes are built better(no surprise there then) and fit into the A4 although i have no idea which model merc to look for.Price of a new pump is 350pounds!!:(

Hello Spink,it is not the pumps that fail so much as the motors, these are sadly close coupled and when one goes the the thing is not much use, most of these things are caused when there are small leaks that allow the pump to run until the auto shut off takes place.
