Hi all :)

The centre console well underneath the phone section appears to have a light. unfortunatly myn doesnt work, just released and looks like its an LED setup so would be surprized if it gone wayward.

Any advice on where the switch is located, and if its just a 12v feed then I can check with a voltmeter. Am I right in assuming the led arrangement wont have gone?

cheers and apologise for the simple post.

I don't think it has a switch as such, it's just an LED and is on all the time. Not sure if it's ignition driven or lights driven but going by the other interior LEDs I assume just igntition. It it has 12v teh only thing it could be would be one of the LEDs I'd guess.

I had the very same problem with my s class,on further inspection i found that there was no wire to power the light and have even partly removed the centre console to see if the wire had come off and fallen someware but there's no wire to be found.Have toyed with the idea of picking a feed off someware else but can't be bothered at the moment although things like this niggle me,if something is fitted then it should be working.:D

thanks for the help/suggestions so far.

checked the deepwell light and definatly got two wires connected to it. not working with engine on and main lights switched on. Looks like it may not be the unit as putting a volt meter across the wires shows no voltage.

might be missing something obvious as the glove box light isnt working either. Bulb checks out fine. checked fuse 47 I think and thats all fine.

so back to the drawing board :)

started again from scratch and found , rather emabrisingly , fuse 47 had gone. Replaced and all fine.

So for the record fuse 47 controls accessory socket, glocebox light and centre console deep well light.

Thanks for the help.:D
