Can anyone help with this please? I need to remove the storage box with the flip panel below the CD player in my W210. I can't work out the removal process. Is it clips or screws or do I need to remove something else first?

Thanks, Lyndon

Remove the gear selector surround by pulling it up. (in N). I think there are screws to undo underneath it.

Sorry, I don't understand. I want to remove the storage box that is above the ashtray but below the radio slot. I'm sure I don't need to remove the gear surround do I?

You can remove the radio and push the storage box out, its held in by a single large clip on the top below the radio, you push down on it. Or the other way is:

Open the cupholder/oddment tray that sits ahead of the storage box under your elbow. Put your fingers underneath the bit of wood with the window switches and gearstick, and pull upwards (clips). Then remove the gearknob, unplug the connectors for the window switches etc, and put the wood to one side. This reveals screws for the ashtray. Once those are out, everything else becomes obvious.
