Hi all,

I've recently had a B service done on a C Class W203. At the time the indicator showed the A service was due however looking in the service history book I could see that the B service was due.

The indicator now shows that the B service is due in 13000 miles. Does anyone know how to change the indicator to show that the A service is due next.

I've followed the instructions on this forum, other forums and starinfo for resetting the service indicator however this just resest the mileage until the next service rather than changing the B to an A.

Thanks in advange for any help you can give me.

Cheers,

Dave

Hi Dave,

Don't panic. The ASSYST system takes lots of factors into account and advises you which service is required, and when - usually in miles to next service, but if it will be on time (two years since last service for cars built up to 2006, annually for cars built thereafter) then 30 days to go and it will switch to "days to go" and count down from 30 - giving you a reminder each time you switch on.

The good news is that, with optimal use (long journeys cruising on a warm engine) the miles to the next service can increase (as it will if you top up the oil when it asks you to).
