Yes I did read the post but mine appears different to the photo/drawing, there is definitely no lever.
I will post outcome after visit to local dealer

I have factory fitted Xenon's on my W220 S Class but they are not the projector type, I would be interested to find out if mine can be altered too, I have had a look and feel around by the bulb but could not find a lever there.

According to the workshop document only projector style headlamps (xenon or halogen) have the adjusting lever.

Cool, didn't want to spend loads of time poking my fingers in there looking if it wasn't there in the first place, I drive a lot over in France so will have to just blank the lens off I think, never bothered with "beam benders"
With my other cars I didn't even bother to blank the lens, never got checked or pulled for it but these being Xenon I will as they will be brighter.

Still on the subject of lights, My manual says that the front fog lights should work if I pull the switch out on Auto, mine will only pull out if on side or manual lights, seem a bit strange to have to put the lights onto manual for the fogs to work.

I also have to put my lights to manual before I'm able to turn the fogs on

It would appear there IS a lever to adjust the lights.
Thanks to Dave at MBS Bursledon for sorting the problem.
It is differcult to find and you have to know where to look but it is on the inboard side of the bulb.
All it seems to do is blank the beam on the kerb side so the lights are straight, it appears not to direct the beam to the left.
I suppose it will stop all the flashing I got while in Holland

bigbear, there IS a lever to adjust the beam pattern as you have been told. it will not magically adjust your beam pattern, but will cut out the angled elevation to the LHS that RHD cars have.

told you so ;)

so pleased you came back to finish the thread, others searching for the answer need these conclusive posts.
