Hi Stulc,

Looks to be straight forward. Pull the pins holding the pads in (careful to catch the leaf spring bearing on the pads). Undo the two bolts holding the caliper in place and carefully move the caliper out of the way so as not to strain the brake pipe. Support the caliper. Parking brake off and release the disc. It should not be necessary to back off the parking brake adjuster unless there is a heavy ridge on the inside of the drum - a bit of waggling usually sees it off. Refitting is the reverse of taking off BUT:-
Use the new bolts that come with the pads or at a pinch clean the old ones and use locktite.
All bolts must be torqued up to the proper value - no more no less.
Force the piston back into the caliper gently - I use a g-clamp.
Check that the fluid is not forced out of the main resevoir
Clean all components
Apply coperslip to the back and bearing surfaces of the new pads and install with a new leaf spring if necessary.
Drive the pins home.
Pump up the brake pedal to bed the new pads one side at a time as this give you max space in the resevoir for the fluid when you screw the 2nd caliper piston in. And should you forget to pump up the second caliper then there will be less of a panic when you hit the brakes the first time!

Sorry if there are some basics in there but it might be usefull to any beginers

Sorry to hear that! I know MB have a habit of making the removal of the bolts difficult and you can always use a ring spanner but the worse is the reassembly when you have to use a torque wrench. Fortunately, my toolbox is full of allsorts to overcome the probs and if not then there is an engineering supplier relatively close for any more specials.

Hi Stulc

It's a straightforward enough job. Barring and problems, the swap (discs + pads) can be undertaken in under ninety minutes.
