I have a 1998 ML 320 that I purchased on e-bay. It looked very well care for, yet the engine noise was not identified. When it arrived, I went to my MB dealer in Missoula, MT and was told that the noise was likely the camshaft on the passanger side. Becasue of the higher mileage and honesty of the mechanic, I was told that this noise would most likely not get worse and that the cost of repair may not be adviseable. I have since found a low mileage cam for $95 and would like to install it myself. However, I need some assistance from someone who may have accomplished this repair themselves. Thanks
