Can eny one offer any suggestions.
I have a 1995 Mercedes E320 with 150,000 miles.  Recently the "check engine light started coming on.  I have taken it to
a mercedes technician and have had several repairs made that they thought was causing the problem- replaced wires to computer, cleaned the vac hose, replaced the O2 censor.
This has not resolved the probmes.  When the tec. connect the car to the computer to search for problem codes, they find no code that is causing the light to come on.  I should also state the car is running perfectly find, in fact the tech, stated that the car is performing perfectly.
One tech told me that there was a problem with the check engine light coming on on this series of Mercedes. Does any one have knowledge of this ?  Any suggestions as to where I can have the technician look for the sources of this problem.  Thanks

Check Engine light problem

I have read that this problem exists with certain ('faulty')Bosch ECUs of that era, whereby it is necessary to interrupt the power (disconnect the battery) to achieve a proper reset and in some cases (on some affected BMWs), it is also necessary to remove certain fuses before powering up again.
