Check on updates

Hi,
Is there a simple way to check on software/hardware updates and recalls on my W209 2008 CLK280. The service history is all MB but does not mention this.

We hardly get recalls and there is a site somewhere where you can check.

Re the updates they are only needed in most cases when there is a problem, if no problems I would leave alone.

Concern : ENGINE COULD LOSE POWER.
Description : The electrical connection in the interior of the crankshaft sensor's chip housing may be interrupted, which may result in loss of power and the inability to restart engine
Remedial Action : Recall affected vehicles and replace crankshaft sensor

You can check for recalls here..............it doesn't tell you if your car has been back though. Hope it helps

Thanks for all of the comments, I was rather thinking about software updates as I have seen a number of posts regarding Command, Auto Gearbox updates, and other general computer software updates. I wondered if the dealer/Indy could identify any missing updates, if any, on Star.
