Chinese EVs in merc showrooms

These are an Ev that merc are helping to promote. At present there are only 2 dealers selling them. You can get all the information about them on YouTube etc. looks like a cross between a mini and vw beetle/Porsche at the front i think the first edition is circa £32k. GWM Ora funky cat. I can only load 1 photo as it’s saying my others are to big for the server to process.

Looking like a regular car is appealing, not sure on the styling that seems a mishmash of many vehicles. Focus and BMW Mini with 300SL Gulwing come to mind at first glance.

Whose bright idea was it to put fake exhaust tips on the lower part of the front bumper? And what is with this black roof bollocks…. If it’s not genuine carbon fibre then it should be body colour.

Let all those who choose to be Guinea pigs go ahead, even the makers and designers have said they are still in experimental phases and it will 9 years now before EVs are genuinely decent enough to buy.

Looks a bit "Mini-ish" to me. £32k ? EVs aren't cheap, are they ? Considering it's just an electric motor and a couple of batteries ? Our Dyson was a couple of hundred quid.

Just to enlarge on my original comment even if I was receptive to an EV I don't think I would have the courage to buy a new, unheard of entry to the market place from a Chinese manufacturer.

It's difficult anyway to boycott Chinese product today because so many normal everyday items are sourced from China and in the main they just total crap. That alone would stop me from putting £32,000 into something manufactured in China.

I cant remember who the southern dealership was but it wasn’t Milton Keynes but one of the YouTube channels mentioned them when testing. The ones I saw were Wolverhamton (Lookers)
