Chip upgrade

I dont know if this is a much discussed topic on here, I have a " W " 2000, C220 Cdi which is currently rated at about 125 bhp, has anybody upgraded to about 150 bhp which is the level of the new C220' Cdi's, what are the advantages or diadvantages, how much is insurance increased by, fuel consumption etc. Is there any information on the web which I can look at? any replies will be gratefully received.

I have a A170 CDI with a 1700cc engine. I have had a Superchips conversion and the difference is brilliant. The power went from 90bhp to 115-120bhp with increased torque to match
Money well spent.

Hi,
I had my V220CDi chipped from 122 to 151bhp by Upsolue. It made an amazind differece and improved fuel economy by 1-2mpg.
The upgrade can be done at your home while you watch. If you want to keep the original chip they will programme a new one for you.
Well woth the £320 and far cheaper than Superchips

Hi Terry,

Have a look at the other tuning threads, I put a 'box' on mine and found the difference was amazing. It's currently waiting to go on the BMW (both cars use the same Bosch Common Rail system).

Where are you? I'd be happy to let you try it, it's only a 'plug and play' mod easily done in 5 minutes.
