Well Ive trawled the tinternet and looked all through the owners handbook and no where can I find out what the correct tyre pressures should be for this car. The tyres are Bridgestone 245/45 R18. Also does anyone know why the spares are all 225/55 R17 ?

Tyre pressures are on the inside of the fuel flap. :)

I think that the spare is a cross between a normal wheel and a space saver.

The spare will still have the same circumference as the ones on the car, and as above they are marked in the fuel flap.

Winter or All Season tyre size for CL500 was 225/55/17.
Sport package added 18" rims and then there were various options for offset wheel sizes.
Perhaps your spare has a winter tyre fitted.

Pressures are inside the fuel cap.

Front: 29
Rear: 32
I think.

Does it have any ID on it? ABC fluid perhaps? If not, I don't think that it was mine! ;)

It has the number 001 989 24 03 10 on it which I think is classed as P/S fluid, but correct me if Im wrong both the abc and power steering are on the same system but just have seperate reservoirs. I was going to check the levels but Im a bit confused as to what this should be. I read somewhere that if its mid range on the dipper while running its over full but cant find definitive answer to correct level engine off or running !

engine running,car normal height.

I always kept a litre of fluid in my SL,,, I got home by topping up with the 2 leaks that I experienced.
