Hi,
I'm wondering if I have a problem with my new car or not.
Let me explain, I have just bought a low mileage later spec (with the DVD Command APS) version of a Mercedes CL500 (7-Speed G-Tronic gearbox). Its a fantastic car and everything seems to be working perfectly but....
I noticed that a fan (aircon?) stays ON after turning off the engine (on the passenger side of the car in the bonnet area where the vents are at the top of the bonnet near the windshield - right next to the fuse box). In fact, I noticed it NEVER seems to go off? I left the car standing for a few hours and came back to note that the fan was still busy... ?
Any idea whats going on? Is this normal? Will it ever go off? I noticed that if I take the battery terminal off and then back on again - volia! The fan is stopped. As soon as I turn the ignition to ON position and back off again however, then exit the car the fan is again on.
Is this just me being paranoid about the potential for my battery to go flat or is this a problem that needs investigation by a dealer?
Regards,
Trevor
