I recently suffered a bad leak on my rear suspension, first noticed when spotted hydraulic oil sprayed over rear wheel. eventually it went altogether and sank down on that corner. when I eventually got it home, I found that it was leaking from the a corroded section of rigid steel pipe inside the rubber mounting bracket inside rear wheel well. Now this bit of pipe is made up of flexible and rigid sections and runs over to the drivers side and back again for some reason and it runs under and around subframe. I tried to get it out in one piece... don't bother, just cut the good ends off and take them to your local hydraulic contractor and have them fit the same length of pipe in flexi to your two ends. fit the new pipe best you can underneath and tie up out the way of moving parts. start the car, raise up and down a few times, keep and eye on the fluid level.....done. sorted. no further problems.

Thanks for the info. And yes they should be, they were high quality hydraulic fittings.

They might be, but ABC is a really high pressure application. Might be worth calling the place that did the work and ask what they would rate it to. I'd suggest you should be looking at 3000psi minimum for transient loads.

By the way I had to have this pipe changed too, was easier to drop the rear subframe off to change it over.
