CL500 stereo

I just had a look at a CL500 (August 2004) and it seemed great. But the CD changer in the boot isn't playing CDs. The CD in the Comand unit is working.
I'm just wondering if this is a major job? Satnav seems to use the disc in the boot OK.

This will be the NGT1 I think the wide screen version, what happens when you insert a CD in the changer.

If it was NTG1 it would have a boot changer? Isn't the drive in the boot the DVD for the Satnav on NTG1.

Maybe just the comand APS then, I do now some cars have the mapping CD in the boot in 2004.

I'll check with the manual later on, but I seem to recall that if you have a TV fitted the tuner replaces the CD changer in the boot.
