Oh just read that the Balance shaft gear could wear? Or is this not in the effected range?

Along with the 4.7tt suffering Tensioner failure due to lack of oil pressure

Agreed the m113/m113k is very reliable "Touch wood" lol

Correct. Search for M273 engine issues
You are right on the M273, now I'm confused as it seems in 2007 year it might have been either engine? Can't be bothered googling I'll be at it all day...

Dreaming of a CL55k - one day maybe....
I love the old "First to see will buy" - my utter favourite is "immaculate" on a 5 year old 60,000m car......

How can a car even a year old be immaculate - it can be amazing, incredible, superb - but immaculate - nah, not the moment it drives 300yds on the road.....

Alex, did you ever go and look at this car for the OP, or did he think better of it in the end?

Or "Top of the range" - on a base model.....

I saw it once, Kia do a KX-1 (base model) KX-2, KX-3 and KX-4 (top of the range) - this guy was selling a KX-1 with cloth, not a single feature and he described it as "Top of the range with every conceivable extra".

I couldn't resist emailing that if it had every conceivable extra why was it missing

cruise control
sat nav
leather
heated seats
memory seats
panoramic sunroof
memory seats
Bluetooth

which are all standard on a KX-4 - and asked the guy if he was confusing it with a different car!

Never heard back.....

Update.

I bought the car.

It's f*****ing brilliant. I am in love. Seriously.

I was planning on keeping my Mini Cooper (S) for use around here and to save money on petrol when I didn't really need to take anything super-nice out. But I think I am going to fail at that idea.

OK so this is the least powerful CL500 - well its 308 (?) bhp - but those 340 pound feet of torque are what does the business.

It's just such a trip to drive. And I've had some nice cars. Jaguar XJR (2001) probably the closest. But this is a NICE car.

Anyhow.

MB Devote can now tell me I paid too much - do I care? No. Not really.
