Hi

Picked up my 08 CLC yesterday and so far im very impressed esp with the comfort of the drive.

Anyway after having a play i do i have one or two questions that hopefully someone can answer on here.

Needless to say im still a little confused by the setting on the onboard computer, however just above the clock there is a speed reading which reads in Km/h. Is it possible to change this to mph at all ?

Can someone also confirm that the audio system i have is Audio 20 ? Would I just be able to swap this unit out for another command system, with sat nav and ipod connectivity for example.

thanks for your time.

I believe it can be changed but it would require a merc computer as its a UK spec setting to get around the fact that the speedo doesn't have any kph readings.

Yes you have an audio 20. Command can be fitted but I don't know how complex a task it is on a clc. To be honest an audio 20 with a tomtom is a better setup anyway. (overall, if you factor in cost and updateability, tomtom is about the best satnav - its not the market leader for nothing!)
I would think you should be able to add an MB ipod interface to your audio 20.

My W211 (2003) used to give an option to toggle between kph and mph on the digital readout. I tended not to use mph in the UK as I preferred the analog, but used kph in the foreign and it was very helpful.

I am surprised that your more recent car can't do this too?

The C's didn't have the option which is a great pity. I know they have cleared the speedo slightly by removing the KPH figures however it is annoying not to be able to pull up digital MPH. I use this quite a lot on my W211 however I would like it in the bottom display instead of KPH, I could then leave the navigation in the top display.

They can, but the kph readout is always there. You can get an additional switchable kph/mph readout in place of the trip computer or other function display but the KPH reading is static at the bottom.
In other countries I believe it can be switched to outside temp etc.

Cheers i will have to have a good look through the handbook to figure out how to do that.

Ive come from a Civic type R that had a digital readout, and really used to it, so was hoping i could change it easy.

thanks for the replies so far guys
