Hi Guys,

I joined the Mercedes-Benz clubs this year with my CLC. Its a petrol silver 1.8 Kompressor model, standard.

However some jerk has drived into the side of it luckily only hitting the drivers side mirror. I dont want to go through insurance as of my age, im trying to build up my no claims and also my excess is sky high.

I need to buy and replace a part on the wing mirror but have no idea on where to get the part. The main body of the mirror is fine and it still functions as per usual but i want to replace the casing which covers the smaller segment of the mirror unit, basically the bit between the main body of the mirro and the car.

The item listed below has the whole unit but i only need the case for the smaller segment which covers the end which attaches to the car.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mercedes-...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4ab5b7396f

Not sure if anyone can help me by advising me of the part number and where i can get hold of this casing. I really want to get this sorted as it makes my car look horrible.

Thanks in advance guys

As you say this part only comes with the mirror casing, finding one second hand will not be easy as it so new. the actual covers complete from MB cost circa £80 and you could always sell the unused part on.

On this late car it does come painted, and it will be a perfect match, it will be ordered from your VIN number to be sure.

From any MB dealer :D

thanks for the emails, i dont think its for the right model. I think i need to detach the mirror from the arm that holds the mirror which seems to be difficult without removing a sort of O ring which seems to be hard to remove.

This picture shows a CLC mirror , its the segment in the middle whichs plastic coating needs replacing.

Hi Television, I've been scouring the net to find any instructions on how to change the casing for the CLC, and i see you have some, any chance you could send it to me also? If so it would help me out massively (and save me the cost of going to MB!) :)

Hi.

The LED indicator is not working in one of my CLC's wing mirrors. Do your instructions show how I could remove the wing mirror cover?

I'd like to take a look and see if I need to replace anything, or if it's just a loose wire or connection. :)
