Can anyone give any pointers to removing the throttle body, cleaning and replacing it?

Any drawings/pictures/exploded diagrams?

Are any service parts necessary, and will it require recalibration?

TIA

Should you find it needs replacing I have a good one from a low mileage 230e that will fit nicely.
It was running fine and dandy until someone took all the nearside out!

Hi

I might well be interested.

How few miles, and how much money?

Cheers

Tony

By PM maybe?

If you are going to hijack peoples threads offering to sell them things, then the very least you can do is follow up and do what potential purchasers are asking you.

Unless you can respond with answers tomorrow, please dont post on my threads anymore unless you have answers to questions or genuine comment.

You are on the road to pi**ing people (read me) off.

Not had a good day, and trying to catch up on a million things - and I actually wanted to catch up on this one.

I have a life besides this forum you know! One ill wife, a young daughter and a company to run. I post on here as and when I get the time through a genuine interest in the marque, not as a money making enterprise.
With your attitude I think you would be better off getting your help elsewhere!

However I suggest you try to clean your unit first before you think of replacing it. I assume you are familiar with the mixture control screw located within the protruding tube next to the inlet? That is I think the only user adjustable part. I would not recommend dismantling the metering unit unless you want to find yourself picking up valves and springs from various areas of your garage. Check all joints for leaks too and the correct function of the aux air valve. Try to avoid using WD40 or similar if possible. The effects on brass parts over a short period of time has to be seen to be believed and it will clog up any brass to steel joints.

Thanks for your reply.

I would be really interested in knowing the part number and mileage of the unit you have for sale.

I think properly cleaning mine is beyond my ability - a bolt-on solution is not.

I have replaced the idle control valve.

I was not aware that your wife was ill, had I been aware I would have phrased my comments differently.

So please, as soon as you are able, mileage, part number and £££.

Thank you
