Clicking noise on full lock

I have what i would ordinary diagnose as a failing CV joint on a front wheel drive car whereby it clicks when maneuvering on full lock. any idea what could be causing this? Diff?

HI, It's unclear from your post if the car is the C200 or a different FWD car. It might also help if you could indicate where the clicking is coming from and if it's 'sided', i.e. when turning left or right. If it's the C 200, it could be one of the CV joints at the rear. Diffs don't often give trouble on Mercs!
