Ok in Garage this am and regassed and dye added. Short run and now getting cooling. Refrigerant Pressure in bar on Climate control code 7 is 8 I assume bar. I suppose just see how quickly this goes down. I assume it may vary slightly dependng on running, temp etc.

Isn't 8 bar too high? I thought they run at 3 bar typ? Over pressure is bad too and normally indicates a mechanical issue.

BTW, I have found a leak seal product so I'm going to give that a go and then regas.

Seems to change bar dependant on how much work it is doing. The compressor must kick in and help compress the gas. It's been up to 14 at one point. Regassed and seemes to be ok. Funny I always thought the auto 22 setting (press up and down together) was too warm but in fact it's now just right. I will take it back to the garage in a week so they can check any leaks with the dye but at least it does not seem to be poring out.

You really need a comparator and psychRometric chart to work it out properly. But 8-10 bar is not high at all. Some systems / refrigerants can work at double that.

It is the ambient air temperature over the condenser that will vary the pressure, assuming a constant load and no air in the system.
