Having returned from hols to find the car covered in pollen and bird crap I decided to put it through the local car wash. The car was pre washed with a brush and jet wash then went through a roller brush type wash.

When driving away quite a lot of water dripped from behind the glovebox so my question is where is it getting in or was it due to overzealous use of the jet wash. Any pointers welcome before I get chance to inspect it.:)

The mistake was putting the car through the roller type car wash, the scratches that will leave in the paint work is emense, as to the leak check the drain holes under the bonnet around th scuttle area. I hope that helps

I normally wash the car myself but having just got back from hols etc had to take the quick lazy option as the car was in a right state.

Open the bonnet and look behind the fuse box on the passenger side, there is an Airbox there. at the bottom of the box is a small rubber valve that gets blocked, allowing the water level to rise to the point it can flow inside the car. From outside of the box, reach down and wiggle your finger in the valve to help unblock it.

I would clear the heater box drain.

The near side drain on the passenger side on my CL was blocked solid
