Hi Malcolm,

The front torsion bar on mine is being replaced, I think it got bent in a collision along with alot of other steering and suspension parts. I have managed in actual fact replace most of the parts except the torsion bar which when I tried to put back (new) with the new bushes, the clamps I find extremely difficult to go over the new bushes !
Any solutions please ?

Thanks

CLK 430 Torsion Bar (Front)

Hi Malcolm.......

Nice to see you are back :D..... I was hoping you could put me on the right track fitting a new front torsion bar .
Is there a right way of putting one on ? I ask this because I am having problems putting the clamps back over the new bushes to secure the bar in place

Many Thanks

I have sent you the remove and refit instructions via Email.

The car needs to be standing with the minimum load/stress on the bar
