CLK 430 Convertible LEAKS !!

Hello All......

I hope someone can help and pretty soon, I think Im drowning in my car !!
My passenger side front and rear footwells are filling with water and I cant find where it's coming from
has anyone experienced this before ?....... is it a known problem ?
I am really worried about this because it could cause an electrical problem.
I have done a little research and it suggests blockages in drain holes and then water overfillls into and behind the dash. I hope someone can provide a more definative answer to this problem.

You must remove the grill and filter if fitted in front of the windscreen,,the drain holes and pipes are in the bottom of the air intake box,,do it sooner rather than later as the watere can take out the motor reg

Hi Malcolm

Is it right to assume that as the water rises in this particular vessel it overflows into some sort of grommets for wiring into the interior and then causing flooding ?
These compartments under the screen do they come in three sections ?........ with a middle, left & Right ?
This filter you are refering to...... is this the pollen filter ?

At last I have printed off the instructions for cleaning out the drains on a 202 and 208 and I have sent you 3 papers on how to do this

So if anyone else would like them please ask

Mine was cleared with a finger wiggle, after putting a hand between the ecu / dataport box and the wing, at the bottom of the drain box is a rubber seal, insert 1 digit and wiggle and you should have unblocked it.
