CLK430 2000 4.3 V8 2011-2018 E400 Coupe V6 3.0 2018-
Hi all, the time has come for me to change one of the best cars I have ever run. The venerable old beast has covered 121K miles and still runs superbly, however the mounting niggles of old age are creeping in and I have made the decision to get something newer, an E400 Coupe 3.0Ltr V6 Bi-turbo, not quite the V8 I love but a great car! The part-ex value MB would offer for the 430 is risible, I've just last week paid £340 for a new rad, doubt they'd give me much if any more! Anyway my question is two fold, having not seem many on AutoTrader of late, would anyone know what the value of the CLK430 would be? Secondly, with the way the world is turning, do any of you think that the old V8 cars will one day be considered classics?

Look on eBay at completed sales. Add a bit for private, subtract a bit for trade.

Is it a w208 or a 209?

Any rust?

They are stuck in no man's land, old but not old enough to be classics. A lot are scruffy bangers.

I reckon another 10 years before they become classic.

But if you have the space, could be worth keeping it.

It’s a W208, couple of spots forming round the arches, typical of the breed! Does need some external work, but mechanically it’s sound, have spent decent money on it last couple of years. That’s exactly my dilemma, would ideally like to stick it away for now rather than get rid.

It's the first compact coupe and convertible they made so historical it's significant.
Also one of the first with the double circular headlights.
Styled by Michael Fink who did the CLS.
