Hi all.
I have 'won' and electrically dimming interior mirror for a clk55...... Is it an easy job to swap onto my cabriolet? Will the wiring plug be in my windscreen pillar somewhere, and is physically removing the mirror fairly straight forward?

Obviously it had to get complicated!
The mirror is from a w208 and my car is an a208, so windscreen mount, rail and mirror brackets are different.
I'll swap the head and stalk over, problem solved. On to the electrical bit.
5 wires? ? Help? Anyone? What are they doing there? ??

Does it have mics in the bottom for the phone option? IIRC there would be four little grills on the bottom face of the housing.

Nope. Just a photo cell in the front and rear.

Got the link working. .... and it looks like it should plug into the lamp unit with everything else. ..
How does it work? It almost reads like it takes a 'Rev' input from the car. .... That's what it says on the diagram
I'll pull it all to bits tomorrow and see what occurs
Is there a set of circumstances to make it work normally? Like car must be moving, headlights on etc etc? So as I can test it

The rev is the reverse lamp so that it does not dim when going backwards, you do not have to use that bit as sticking you finger over the sensor works
