I have spoken before about the rattles from the convertible roof. Mine is a 2005 model.
Now the weather has improved I have have been enjoying the top down experience. No noise at all from the windows.
When the roof is up I realised that the noise from the seals is not a rattle but more of a crackle. I have used Gummi Pfege Oil around the seals but it still crackles on uneven road.
Any ideas or do all convertibles do this when they reach a certain age?

Try PTFE on every moving metal joint, anywhere where the cables join to the frame.

I'm not sure that the noise is coming from the joints. It appears to be from the top of the windows!!
Is PTFE spray?

Are there any bits that you can damage if you pray them or just spray everywhere with WD40?
