CLK High Mileage Problems?

I have a 2000 CLK 230K Elegance Auto Coupe which has done 87,000 miles and am debating whether to keep it for a few more years, as I like the car a lot. Does anyone with experience of high mileages on this model know of any significant (expensive) failures which could arise, Cat, Auto Box, Supercharger, etc?

We have had a few supercharger problems and that's about all, nothing consistent with any particular milage and to be truthful, your car at 87k should be OK for double that. always a hard question as to how long do you keep it.

Others with the same car should join the thread if they are not on holiday, its a quiet week.

Welllllll!!!!!! my CLK 230K has done 105,000 miles now, and its driving fine, infact very smooth and responsive.

I had loss of power problem at about 96,000 miles, i did change MAF but it didnt solve the problem, so just adopting a silly fault finding method, i ended up changing Cat and full exhaust as well. However, it still had power problem, showing the Cat and exhaust had nothing to do with it.

Finally, mercedes garage kept the car for 4 days and informed me of oil presence in kompressor and after cleaning it, its been 3-4 months now and car is running fine. The dealer blames oil accumulation in kompressor to high miles.

So thats the only problem I had with my CLK due to high mileage.

OK , that's fine, there have been some mods around the vacuam system and the engine breathing to stop this from happening. Hope you kept the old exhaust and MAF.
