Fitted the replacement pump but still not working :( went back MB as they told me that was the problem, also when they told me it was the pump they also told me the boot release handle needed replacing at a cost of £138.00 i never noticed it as i always used the remote, sprayed it with WD 40 works fine now, asked MB how they had the nerve to quote me that price & why they didnt give it a squirt obviously just thinking about the money :p anyway when i was there had bit of a moan they are now doing a complete check at no cost to me, so it might not be the pump after all even though i have just paid 4 the pump :( was really easy to change too.

Thanks for all the info so far.

Faulty Pump?

So.......was the original pump faulty or was it the fuse all along. Hopefully you would get a refund of your hard earned!

Dont know if its faulty yet i will swap them over & try it over the weekend, if it's not faulty i will be charged 20% handling fee :-(
If it is ok I will write to my MB dealer blaming them as that is what they diagnosed as as faulty & see what they have to say, it was not new got it from a salvage company less than £500 I wonder if I went to MB to do the job & it was not faulty would they have still charged me for the pump!!
Just a thought.
