CLK number plate bulb & Fog light

My driver side number plate light and my driver side fog light have both gone at the same time, seems too much of a coincidence, any ideas ?

Bulbs do funny things,your fog lamps (both) are on one circuit, and the number plate lights on another, no connection. though some last forever others have a limited life.
