CLK oil top up

Hi, the oil top up has come up on my sons 2004 clk 320,which type of oil should he use for this model

I take it that it a petrol? If so any meeting MB229.3 or 229.5 will be fine.

It's only a top up.

Hi yes it is petrol,would shell or castrol do and what visosity.In my sl service book it tells me shell 5 w 30 has been used,would this do for his car

Shell, castrol, mobil, Fuchs will all be fine; it is the spec that is important.

Any viscosity sold in the UK that meets the MB spec will be fine for the engine and climate.
