clk window problem

I have had to take off door panel on my clk 230 convertible and re rivit the window regulator but since then my window will go right up and then drop down 40mm.Any ideas

i dont know about this, but if they got d/c maybe they need reprogramming? im not sure on the effect(s) that what you did has, but its worth a try anyway press window down so its open all the way and then hold for 10 seconds and then pull window up and hold for 10seconds..

Yes reprograming will sort it out as coolpot suggests.

I tried to reset the window but still no luck.It does not matter at what point you
stop the window when going up it will stop and drop back 40mm.I tried unplugging the control module for the regulator but no difference.I tried the drivers module on the passenger side and it did the same thing to that side.I then tried the passengers in the drivers and it still had the same fault and now when both modules are back on the correct side both windows have a similar fault.I have had to put both windows up and when it gets to the top I disconnect the motor plug.

Any info would be appreciated.

Hi Bob,

Try Disconnecting the battery earth lead for 30 or secs., reconnect and reprogramme the windows. My windows on c180 202 are erratic and disconnecting the batt solves problem for a few days. Unfortunately it returns.
