Hi there
I have problems with my roof not going down. Bought the diagnostic kit and sent for the workshop manuals. Getting on not too bad but found some black and white wires not linked to anything and having a problem knowing if the micro switch in the boot catch is actually working. Does anyone have a tester or know anything about this area that could assist please?

Hi there,

Further to this post, Having removed both components of the boot lock a relative managed to test the boot lock micro switch and the Pawl rotary tumble switch ( S88/4 ), both were functioning correctly. Prior to reassembly I checked all connecting wires for continuity and found a defect in the connector on a grey/white wire in the near side boot corner. This wire connects to S88/4 switch. Thanks to those who viewed my post with the intention to help me.
