Hello everyone,
Back with yet another issue with my CLK...
I had the 2 rear tyres changed at a fastfit outlet. Drove 5 miles home without issue. But just when I had reversed into my drive, both the ABS and ESP lights came on. The instrument cluster screen said "ABS defective" and "ESP Display defective". Before these came on the handbrake was already applied and the car was in Park. By that point the car wouldn't let me shift gears (gear stick stiff and stuck in Park).
I've contacted the tyre shop who didn't accept responsibility (as expected). I've never had either of these lights/errors come up in the 6-ish months I've had the car. I've read about the magnetic ABS ring or the brake sensor being delicate - could anything like these have been damaged during the tyre change?
Worse still, I don't have any tools/trolley jack at home and I cannot drive the car to any garage. Any advice is much appreciated!
Thanks all and cheers
