Hello, I’ve searched high and low for someone who offers a re map tuningchip for my CLK430 but I’m not getting anywhere. It’s not listed as an option on any of the tuning specialists website that I’ve looked at. Does anyone know who can do this for me? I’m in the Hertfordshire Essex region. Thanks

Try ringing GAD directly, it’s a little old to list on their site but I’m sure they can map it fairly easily

Don’t expect miracles from a remap on a nat aspirated V8. I looked at the potential gains when I had my A208 CLK 430 convertible but decided the gains weren’t worth it.

you don’t need to go faster, wind the windows down and enjoy the noise instead.

The only reason I need to get it mapped is because I’m putting in Performace 370cc injectors along with 4 bar fuel pump. I know that the map alone wouldn’t be worth the effort;)

Hi
The Euro spec 208 430 never had an OBD Port, so cannot be re-mapped in the conventional way.
The ECU needs to be removed and directly connected to a PC to be re-mapped.
The existing map needs to be downloaded this can take over an hour to do.
Original MAP file modified and uploaded back to ECU.
Refit ECU, rolling road tested.
If any fine adjustments to the MAP are required this process needs to be repeated with each change made to the MAP.
This is why it does not appear on web sites.
i went through this process with my C43 202.
My car was done by Gerry of Eurocharged (USA).
He only agreed to do it because he believed it had an OBD Port
He believed this because US spec car do have a OBD Port.
If I was to do this again I would try to retro fit an OBD Port using info from US Spec cars to make this process easier and cheaper.

Why?
Unless you can get much more air into the engine it won't use the extra fuelling.
By much more air I don't mean fitting a K&N or similar snake oil, I'm talking about porting, cams, manifolds, throttle bodies and exhaust (if it's coming in it needs to get out).
Bigger injectors and messing with fuel pressure will do nothing on a standard engine.

Sorry I should of said Im also fitting US headers and Kleeman cams. I think it may just be easier to send my ECU off to Kleeman for the mapping as well. As I didn’t it didn’t have a OBD port.

I think you will still be very far away from 90%> duty cycle on stock injectors with headers and cams.

I’m still not 100% sold on doing the injectors tbh. Speaking with Kleeman and they recommend best power gains from a 430 is a set of cams, ECU map and removing the secondary cats. And even then I’ll only be getting (on a good day) around 30ish extra bhp :( maybe I’ll just save all the hassle and money and just sort the exhaust out to give me that infamous V8 sound track as mentioned above by Mark A :)

Hi
For the record upgrading injectors and fuel pump is exactly what MB did to up the power on the 4.3 113 V8 though I don't think they did the Cams and there were other changes as well
I have a list somewhere exactly what the differences were between the AMG 4.3 and the standard 4.3 I will see if i can find it.

I am very suprised, as most manufactures leave 20% on the table for injectors. Eg 55k m113s don't need injectors until you have have added 100+ bhp.

The C43 202 had a E55 (N/A) injectors and fuel pump, I was surprised myself when I had to replace the pump and it wasn't the same as other 202's, and had the same pt no as the E55, the injectors I only read they were the same, and this was borne out as they had the same colour tops (I believe the colour of the injector signifies the size) as my 55 engine when i fitted it in the C43 202.
