Clk55 amg 208 - private sale value?

I'm thinking of selling my CLK AMG then buying a SL500 AMG - read on a few MB forums that the CLK55 is going to be a future classic? - maybe I should hang on incase it goes up in value?!

Can anyone tell me the approx value of a 2000 X reg model in excellent condition? Its still one of the best looking Coupes on the road in my opinion.

all cars become future classics in the end some are more desireable then others.
I think you would have to wait a while just get the new one

I think they go for around £8000 now but not sure.

Hi, I might be looking to sell the CLK55 in the next few weeks but am just looking around for a replacement at the moment - let me know if you're interested in buying it.

To give you abit of info about the car, its done 81,000 and runs like its brand new. Immaculate inside, with a few very small scratches outside (one on the rear plastic bumper about 5 inches long and one on the drivers door about 1 inch long). The 5.5 litre engine accelerates faster than anything i've ever driven. I've spent about £750 over the past 6 months to make sure its running in A1 condition. 2 of the alloys could do with smartening up (slight kerbing) but that shouldnt be too much to put right.

I'd be looking for £8500 - let me know if you want pictures of the car. I'm in Ealing, West London.
