kia cerato, sorry, but will be a mercedes
just wondering if the 2000 type clk's are the same as the e series in regards as being wary of rust on the wheel arches etc, as there is one for sale thats a good distance away, not sure about the colour, its not too bad, dark met red, but in my mind a mercedes should be silver, gold or black, lol, but the interior is just what id want in a car
thanks, george.

Yes they can rust very badly in the rear wheel arches, this goes right up to 2003 when some got better but not all.

There are some good ones out there, but look carefully at the lip all the way around the arch

Very nice car and if the mileage is genuine(with some backing up documentation) that would be well worth £4K.

They are truely awesome and drivers cars

That does look nice from the ad,,he is a trader, so you are covered under some aspects of the laws in selling motor cars.

Take a look and check for the tiniest bubble on the paint

was thinking his mpg figures were a wee bit exaggerated, but at only doing about 4 thousand miles a year if that it wouldnt be as bad as i thought for a large engine and servicing it would be straight forward enough id have thought without going to the main mercedes garage here

Yea 32 mpg would only be possible on a run, around town you wont get anywhere near it. I get around 24mpg on my 230 so this one I would say 20-22.

Hi. On a motorway run, (mostly) obeying the limits, I get a reliable average of 33 mpg. Having the air conditioning on gives about a 2mpg penalty.

(BTW Television, I wonder if I could trouble you for a copy of the paper on changing CLK plugs? Thanks).

Regardless of MPG figures i would still buy 320 as its alot smoother engine and you really cant go wrong with the super smooth V6 engine. The MPG figure isnt that much different but the V6 has alot more power and OOMPH than 230.

I've got a CLK 320 cab and I generally get 31mpg although most of that is motorway driving at 70mph with the cruise on. Had it a few months now and the v6 is a beautiful engine. Appreciate it more and more each day!

Mine's a 2001 with 60k mileage and no rust in sight. And no I'm not squinting. Anyway just to say there are some decent ones out there and the one on the website looks like one of those. The non standard stereo wasn't to my taste though
