Can someone help? CLK 320 W208 led displays faded out and would like to fix them. I can remove instrument cluster but then what? Are there any companies that could fix these displays?

I have the same problem. After talking with various parties, it would appear that the cables just need "packing out" as there are usually no problems with the actual displays.

The fault is poor cantact on the ribbon cables that connect to the displays.

Its a matter of packing out the cables with little rubber wedges

DIY as above or speedofixer or bba-reman (google) for a recon £200ish from memory.
There is a strip down bit in the DIY section where I got it down to the board but there was little knowledge on how to fix it at the time. If only I'd known.....

Hi Malcolm, when you say little rubber wedges, do you fashion these yourself or buy them. Will attempt this fix at weekend all being well. Thanks to everyone else too.

You can use soft plastic or rubber, it does not matter

If you put rubber in the freezer you can do what you like with it and cuts like butter
