I'm toying with the idea of buying a leather interior for my 1999 E300TD W210. The one that I have is scruffy after 210K miles, with plenty of dirt, some thin bits and a small hole or two.

If I chose to buy a leather interior from a donor/scrapped car with electrically adjustable seats how much effort would it be fit these to may car so far as the electrics are concerned? Presuming that it came with the buttons i require, is my car pre-wired for them, or would there be mucho complications with wiring etc?

Aside from that, if i chose a manually adjustable one, is it a DIY job to change over the interior ... or are the panels and airbags not worth messing with?

ANy help appreciated ...

If you want a quote for re-trimming the interior then let me know. I can now offer full genuine Mercedes leather retro fits/retrims.

If you only have manually adjustable seats then the hassle involved in adding the electrics is just not worth it. However, if you just want the leather trim, then that's a relatively easy job and plenty of people can do this work for you (such as Alfie).

I re-trimmed my old Mercedes E300Ts myself, but it wasn't a great job. I spent the next 12 months picking fault with everything...!!
