On my W208 Cab with 18" AMG IV's i am notcing a clunking noise when I am making a slow wide turn or on full lock.. It is as if the wheels are slipping away if that makes sense.
Check the wheels/tyres are not contacting any suspension components or bodywork.
18inch wheels are a pretty tight fit, and any clearance problems will be worse on full lock.
