hi guys , got a problem on the daughter c220 cdi/02 year model limp mode crlauncher says codes codes p1664-088/p1189-016 . p1664 i take by heater codes mean glow plugs and not heater confused but clicked when remember heater boost on dash , though i notice no glow plug is read fault ,breaking down ? light comes on 1st 50 mtr then goes out. im sure this cant be causing limp mode ,proberbly.
then code p1189-016 seems like a nice job gonna go the way of putting a resister in the swirl flap motor to fool the ecu then no limp mode , great but i have no idea which to use or power capacity , any help there please
found info resister is 4.7k ohm
good this interweb thing eh
does anyone know if an emulater plug is available
update
found emulater plugs varying prices ,but cant find any for 2002 c220 cdi .theres lots for the v6 and the plug is u shaped both end ustilises th 2 middle ports ,2.7 5 cyl is d shaped and uses the middle and flat end of the d ports but cant find a thing on the c220 plug in shape or ports to use and apparently when fitted leaves the flaps open by default
also if any body has info on the location of the swirl flap motor fuses ,that would really help
