Having problems starting c270cdi in mourning, starts first time then dies straightaway ,then needs to be turned over for 40-60 secs before it fires up,after this first prob it starts fine all day long ????? any ideas?
Ive got the same problem with my C270. Ive had it all checked out and the garage said ive got air in the system. So they told me to change all the plastic fuel pipes. Got all that done which has made a difference and now the garage is saying the fuel pump is leaking. Nightmare
hi all,
my c270 cdi-2002started gettin cold start probs 3 wks ago. After numerous checks, found inlet manifold leaking at gaskets and swirl flaps loose and worn. Not a job for the faint hearted,so my trusted mech set about the task in hand.To be on the safe side whilst the manifold and various other components were stripped out he changed the crankcase sensor as easy access was available. This cured the problem, and as well as increased performance my heater has increased dramatically from a poor 40 deg to 85 deg (dont know why but greateful ). Not cheap-parts,labour and consumables £800.but the lady was worth it. hope this helps all with problems.
